SM- Adorable fluffy babies. Just tell hubby they aren't chickens, they are silkies so it's believable.

When I took my silkie to the parade last year 1 out of 20 people maybe knew she was a chicken.

How old are your other chicks QJ? You could always try putting them together, and watching close for awhile. I haven't had any problems putting chicks together as long as they are within a few weeks apart.

Well, that's cause they are exotic egg laying silkied parrots. And it will just be amazing when you teach your new "parrots" to crow and go bawk bawk bawk.

They must be 3+ weeks. They are the same size if not a tad bigger than the sussex, But tower above the lemons and wyns.

I think I'll take the little ones out and put them in a long tub I have separating the apples from the chickens, and put these in with the sussex. But hubby will surely notice now.

Yikes! At least it's Friday and he is in the best mood on Friday. Who isn't?

I have a Brinsea Mini Advance with the auto turner. Someone else is going to hatch for me, too, since I can only fit 7 eggs in my little incubator!

Hey Christine! Glad to see you! When you get the eggs, let them slowly come to room temp vertically with point end of egg on bottom. It should only take a few hours. Then put them into bator. Do not wait the full 24 hours. Once in bator, leave them alone for 24 hours, then start turning 3-5 times per day.
What kind of bator? Still air or fan? Auto turner? Also, what kind of thermometer and humidity gauge are you using?
Yay! We are going to hatch our "take a chance" eggs together!
