Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I have a Brinsea Mini Advance with the auto turner. Someone else is going to hatch for me, too, since I can only fit 7 eggs in my little incubator!

Hm... what kind of bator does your friend have? Could you borrow it instead??? Otherwise, have you considered making a homemade brooder and setting all the eggs yourself. Don't be surprised to have to throw away at least half of the eggs on day 7 for not developing. FYI, I found that her blue eggs hatch the lavenders, silvers and blues.... and the white eggs hatch black & white.

Guys, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my goslings!! They are totally different than ducklings... more like puppies.

Julie, it's amazing how different they are, huh? When we went to take them out of bator, instead of being scared... they were happy to be picked up and cuddle in our hands.

FYI.... goosie #4 is starting to zip!

I can't believe my little calls are 2 weeks old already. One is a monster, over twice the size of the littler ones. He's got personality though, and is the sweetest of course. He's about the size of a one week old regular duckling, the others are still tiny. The geese are growing fast too. I can't wait until it's nice enough to take them outside and let them play in the sun.

I am loving the stubby little bills, it makes the ugly duckling stage so much cuter, lol.

Precious babies, Julie! I wonder if our runt is the size of a baby call... it's so teeny!!

By the way, I went to put the goslings into brooder with ducklings.. and the ducklings swarmed them and started pecking at their heads. It drove me insane and pulled them back out within a minute. They are now sleeping in a rubbermaid tub while hubby builds them their own personal 72 hour brooder.
