Ok. I've got the bigger babies moved outside. I think they will be okay. (still makes me nervous). They are acting like they are super happy, but if they act cold at all I can run a light out through the kitchen window.

Also moved the little babies to the bigger cage in the garage. So they are happy happy out there. No more babies are in my house right now.

Until Thursday....

i am still the highest bidder on the turkey eggs! but things could change, there are six more days! i just have to remember not to win at all cost and to stay on budget (i sometimes get carried away when it comes to bidding) which is CHEAP!!!!

I totally understand! Remind me what turkeys your bidding on, so I don't bid against you. the only thing Im bidding on now are more quail (just had worst hatch ever, 4 out of 30 eggs) and some magpie ducks!!! (Yeah, 4 days too go...... sigh)

Marty, I'm really sorry about your last hatch. What a bummer!

I'm not necessarily in a hurry to move my older ones.... their pen is currently 4ft x 5ft and they get tons of attention, treats, and almost daily bath tub swim. If we moved them to the coop, they would only see hubby/me twice a day during our feeding routine. Nor would they get bath time. But, they would have a lot of extra space and fresh air. Here is their coop. You can see the power cord coming down from ceiling in center.

If you have space to brood them inside until 6 weeks or so they'll be able to go outside without any heat probably. They'll be fairly well feathered out and big enough to keep warmer, and it'll be less likely to get dramatically colder.I'd do it, and maybe they'll be friendlier spending more time inside.

QJ, im sorry to break your girls hearts, but my dad is takeing one of the puppies... Part of the settlement thing with the divorce. Im so sorry. I hope he takes the one you dont want. But more then likely he will take the one with whte on it.
