Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I was wondering about sebbie sizes too after the pic. They really don't look bigger than Jumbo Ducks, but maybe it was a youngster.

I think sebbies are about the same size as tufted romans. My geese are supposed to get to 10-12lb gander, 9-10 for a goose. Isn't that about the same as a jumbo pekin?

So I just candled my duck eggs and 13/14 look great. One looks weird. It has no veins, but has a moving baby. I can see feet moving, not just floating but kicking. But no veining. It's one of the fridge eggs, so on day 11-12 I think.

I told him it wasn't a duck, but he didn't ask what it was. (whatever).
I read they get about 10 pounds.

Jules- Send that worker friend over here when ur done with him!

I did some candling tonight too. In the bedroom incubator I have 39 eggs of Pekins, Runners, Cayugas, Blue Swedens. Out of those 39, I have 33 that have babies, 3 with veins and 3 that I need to give 3 more days before throwing. I also have my 5 goose eggs in there that have been in since Friday night. Tomorrow I start turning them, I think. I need to check on that to make sure. In the bathroom incubator, I have 37 eggs with consists of Crelo and Blue Breda chickens, Runners, and BEI. All the chicken eggs have babies, I saw 3 out of 6 BEI with hearts, and 3 of the 4 Runners have hearts. I am suppose to be getting more chicken, calls, and goose eggs from Celtic sometime this week too. Not sure where they will go, but I will make room. Probably have to take the auto turner off the bathroom incubator. Crelos are due march 13, Most of the Pekins are due March 18 so that will free up alot of room.

edited because I have 5 not 4 goose eggs. I have 3 Toulouse and 2 Sebastopol
