I thought about red, but am afraid that would make the other chickens peck at her, evil little things. I might dye her green, her sis blue, and my leghorn pink. Leghorn is so fast I'm not too worried about her getting pecked, she can pull off the pink. My ditzy silkies just sit there though, and I thought about dying each of them and putting them in a basket for my girls to find. I only have 2 silkies and 3 girls though, so someone gets the leghorn. Or turkey...that would take a lot of food coloring though.

Remember that lavender chicken I hatched out like 5 million years ago? Well, I had to move it from the teenager pen in with the lemons I hatched, because the other chickens were outgrowing it and I was afraid it would be smooshed in the chicken pile.

Now I just had to move it from the toddler chicken pen down to the new babies that just hatched out 2 days ago because the toddler chickens were outgrowing it, and it's about the same size as these new babies. Just a little bigger. Isn't that weird? It's like it's not growing.

I'm gonna get a pic, but anybody had a chicken that doesn't grow before?

Maybe he decided he wants to be a bantam? Is he feathering in? Where are our pics?

This is the "lemon" which BTW doens't look like a lemon. It's getting a black collar like a coronation.
Lavender was born a little before this chicken.

It eats and drinks fine. Just doesn't grow.

I've read a few threads about micro chicks. I think as long as they survive past a month or so most very slowly catch up eventually.
