officeplayground.com has the 2" ones (perfect!) for .99/ea. I just bought two (glitter and star) ones, plus shipping, for under $8. I actually got mad and went looking for them again tonight. I havn't used one in like forever! Great way to know what the temp of eggs really is on the inside though!

Momma goose was Quiet but Gimpy was awful, even with being reminded that I was boss. I would have kept him IF we could have free ranged... really really a good protector. But I'm not a preditor... well not that kind anyway,lol

Fried Parsnips in roasted garlic oil
Pepper
Seasoing salt
1/2 a Ceasar salad dressing packet
cook fast to brown & just before tender

THEN !

Took 5 chuckar breasts (can use quail too)
Rolled in the garlic oil

(coating)
Flour
pepper
seasoning salt
SPECIAL ARABIC Honey Rub (honey, salt, sugar,cumin,white pepper, coriander, onion, tumeric, cayenne, vanilla bean)

Rolled the chuckar in it ~ & fried it with the parsnips ~ then put over Jasmine or Basmati Rice

I'd be on my way over, but it's way late now!

I think that happened to two of my baby turkeys. They did die, but were pretty much ready. I've had humidity issues, and one of thermometers was off two whole degrees!

I tested them 3 monthes ago, but there was a change sometime.

I lost one because I didn't realize sooner that it couldn't move well enough to pip through the shell. I didn't do a full eggtopsy, but it killed me to see the little beak when I opened the air cell.

One was sloshy a day ago, so it was dead before then. So if the night goes well, I should have 8 ducklings. Or should I have nine? I can't flippin' count after my long last two days.

Hiya GC, whats new?

I've still got several partially-hatched ducklings I'm having to keep an eye on. It's been a heckuva a day here and I only slept about 4 hours last night with all the shrinkwrapped duckies I was worrying about.

But I have pretty babies and will share pics shortly. Loading them now.

Even showing that farm goose who's boss, he still comes after me all the time. Once he ambushed me in fromt of the outhouse, so I grabbed that ******** by the back of the neck and rubbed its beak in the mud.

Apparently dominance moves that work on aggressive drakes don't work as well with demon ganders.

When my DH saw those tolouse (sp?) eggs today, all big like that, he looked just like this

He asked if I was going to buy some more of those hatching eggs, and how big a pen did I need, and how many of those exactly did he get to eat a year? I was totally rolling. Too bad there is no room in the bator for more. They are quite appealing.
