Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Heres a pic of one egg of two I'm worrying over.

First, the view w/light at big end

Next, view of light from small end of egg - note presence still of blood vessels in fluid??

Thoughts fellow hatchers???
Sorry, was trying to read and stay caught up while putting kids to bed, no time to post until now. That's what my call eggs looked like before hatching. Most of them that made it to lockdown hatched, including the funky ones but I had to help a few. Love the new avatar btw, beautiful pic!

I'm so glad. this one is rather still, but the other is full of motion! Ill pop them in, they made it this far. did you pip for them? I think I will give them an extra day, but I'll pip w/i 24 hours of the others.

The pic is my baby, Julia.

I got some pics of my Lemon Cuckoo Marans

My 2 Chocolate Cuckoo Marans

My Blue Jersey Giants

& MY Embden Cuddling with My Iowa Blue

I tried to take pics of them! But I have 14 to capture

julie. when are you going to want eggs?
the bubble wrap is SUPPOSE to be here by the 2nd.
do you want to wait until you have more room in the bator? or would you like them once the bubble wrap comes in?

When the bubblewrap comes in should be fine. All I'll have by then is turkeys and woodie in, so lots of room.

CG: My mallards, which are smaller babies too, don't typically eat or drink til day 3. I would give them some food soaked in water. So like more water, than food.

Jazz- LOVE the pics. That's the gene I need! (choc)

Marty- I've had cells like that. And I've noticed some hatch, some don't. I know that doesn't help you any. I really think it's a 50/50 deal. You can just watch them closely and be there to help them out. Which is what you're doing anyway.
