Darned good thing you had Cookie with you. I have an English Shephard named Cookie and she'd have eaten him for sure....with me cheering her on. I think I'd have to carry my pistol with me next time I go out...in case that dirt bag comes back!

Yes I'm so lucky I had Cookie with me. So many people ask me why would a Woman want such a big dog instead of a small dog and this is Exact why. I love my small dogs to death but they would have been useless in this situation. I will be loaded from now on when I take my animals out. If he comes back next time he won't be leaving

I made a call but as usual they said since no one was injured they'll look into it. To be fair I live in the "Ghetto" so it's seen as normal behavior and unless someone is dead I won't be seeing a visit from them anytime soon. Our lovely police system down here is why I have my dogs and guns.

Cookie is still upset so my hero will be sleeping on my bed tonight. I actually have one of the meanest ganders I've ever met! I have the bruises to prove it. If my front yard was fenced he'd be patrolling from now on!

True. If they're still hanging on tmw that will be a real good sign. You know how ducklings always kinda look real weak and then all the sudden they're fine. Fingers crossed!

Tell me about it. I know what you mean! I just hatched out 3 Royal Palms for a friend and I'm having turkey envy right now. They are so cute and sweet. And this is the breed I want.

Ok, now that's exactly why hubby and I decided on an Anatolian. We love big protective dogs. Our lab Shiloh would hurt someone. I have no doubt. She is Very protective. It's worse when the kids are outside. It's like she's on "patrol". The other little lab/german shepard mix is only barely a year old but she is starting to get to be the same way. Why is that? To the Dog people.. is it the dog or is it us? We don't teach them to be protective.. they just are. Is it because we are such a tight knit family? Or "pack" I guess. Or is it because we don't go to dog parks and "socialize" our dogs , because we never go anywhere really. We're home body types. I don't know..

I'm going to get some when my farm coop is done. I love the (forget what they're called) Black something. Black winged bronze? They're harder to find. The ones that kinda look like wild turkeys but they're not.
