I had a buff Orp hen set 4 consecutive batches one year...and still want to set. I finally had to lock her out of the coop.

i guess some hens are fools.

kevin. keets are adorable for like the first 2 weeks.


so my geese i think want to steal my chickens.

their turnout run is right next to the goose pen and every night when i collect them the geese get upset .

my chicken has been on an empty nest for almost 3 weeks.
she gets tossed off twice a day .
she refuses to give up. and she already say 3 times in a row.
she needs a break.

Mama Chicken's belly is bald (kinda like the meaties when they get really fat and lay around all day) from all the sitting she did

and everyone was scared to touch her, i put on my boots, pants, coat, and hubbies wood gloves even when i went to check her water she was that bad

but the longer she is sittin. the worse she is gettin

it is, she had gotten to the point where she doesn't leap out of their box and try to peck me in the head anymore when i go to refill water and food

the only one not scared of her is my 2 yr old daughter she wants to hold one of the babies so bad! she comes crying to me atleast once a day "mama nitni bite meeee! i hold baby nitniiii sob sob" but then goes right back an hour later a tries it (insert eye roll)
