OK, I've had it with my Black Swedish drake. I've kept him as long as I have because he's been my daughter's pet, but he's got to go. I put him and his mate in with my Sebbies, thinking that their larger size would keep him in check, but no, he's bullying them, too. He's pulled out a ton of their feathers and my gander was even bleeding last night!

Sounds like he has to go asap!

Here is a pic of my SFH chick I hatched and the RIR chick I bought for it's company. After about 5 minutes they were the best of friends!

I woke up to find two of my muscovys perched on the fence between my yard and my neighbor's yard. I had already clipped one wing on each bird. I was able to lure them down and then my DH and I proceeded to clip their other wings. The hens were fairly easy but the one drake was more than a handful.

On the hatching front I have BCM eggs going into lockdown this weekend

. I have no idea if any are developing as the eggs are too dark to see anything in.

Just found someone selling duck eggs at $16 a dozen.

LOL. It works too. He's fathered quite a few ducklings since I've had him.

I think I hatched one of his babies ! I hatched 1 out of the 2 eggs I set from you.
I tell you it is the coolest little baby drake! It follows my daughter around like a puppy dog,
and sits on my sons head while he watches TV!
& I had it sitting on my chest & it friggin pecked my eyeball !!!!
Also a cute little thing!

C'mon you need more ducks !

I am hoping to hatch some scovies soon, but I want to hatch some cool colors... Then I want to sell all the hens & have a male bonding pen

Does he look just like a Black Swedish or can you tell he's half Welsh Harlequin?

I keep changing my mind about keeping the drake. He's fine if he's just in with his mate, but he terrorizes any other birds he's in with! I thought about getting a BS female to put in with them, too, but I'm afraid he would just bully a new duck. I was so mad at him yesterday, I was about ready to kill him myself, but I've cooled off a little. I kind of like him, but it's a pain having to keep a separate pen for two ducks.

Did your Ohiki (sp?) eggs hatch?
