Well, after losing all but two welsh harlequin eggs that I put in last week due to a temperature spike in the incubator, I set 20 more today. What the heck am I going to do with 22 welsh harlequins if they all hatch??? I need to have more restraint...I had to start building a bigger coop and duck house today because I can't stop getting more birds!

I feel like we should have a duck egg hatch a long! It looks like I'm not the only one who set eggs this weekend.

@JazminesZoo Those are all beautiful birds! I wish I could find some peafowl around here but no such luck, and anybody who does have birds to sell sells them for $200 and up, even the more common varieties...No $15 peachicks for me!

I ended up fallling in love with these purdy pigeons! I do not know what they !

I was planning on building a flight pen, and let my 7 year old daughter help care for them.

I just set 2 dozen Duck & another 7 ancona eggs from Eye

. Met up with her this morning for a duck swap

She got my girl below


and traded me a purdy Blue Ancona Drake







The pair of Pekins were the ones that were traded for 2 male baby ducklings a couple weeks ago!

Took some pics of my Sebbies today, call me crazy but I am not a fan of the whole curly mess.... I really REALLY like the colored smooth brested sebbies ! I like the contrast of the smooth against the curly & not the solid whites.

Will post some pics if ya want. I know I have been giving you pic overload !

Hello everyone!!! I do have one ? ? I can get baled straw for 2.00 a peice. My large ducks will be kept outside for the most part of the winter. It gets extemely cold here in MN so during those times I wanted to use this for the bedding inside and outside during the warmer times. Temps will vary from 30 degrees to -40 with windchill. They do have outside duck houses but I thought I would just let them inside my barn in the center isle. My chickens will be in the north and south sides, Help please.
