Pablo is my very sweet, almost 14!! year old hen. She has been slowing down the last month or so, and I noticed she has starting shaking her head. She is strong and fought me, but I managed to look in her mouth and there is a LARGE yellow ball in there. It seems to be almost occluding her throat, but she has normal poops so I know she is eating. It was hard to get a good picture. I’m not sure if it is yeast or trichomoniasis. I called some local vets yesterday and can not find someone who can see her soon or culture the mass. Should I try and remove it? I also have both metronidazole and miconazole. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you!
