Hey...Thanks for this....I'm getting to the Endocrinologist! I have been diagnosed....but dr said not bad enough to treat. I do know also that Diabetes is VERY closely related to Thyroid problems and usually go hand in hand. My Mother has BOTH...and has been being treated for both for over 35 years. I can feel it getting worse as I age...no blood sugar problems....but definite hypo Thyroid symptoms!

Are there NATURAL over the counter Alternative meds that we can take ?
 
I thought I saw a warning about Armour when I was reading my monthly newsletter I just went back to look it says that Armour is have a stortage of the following
120mm 2 grain,180mm3 grains,240mm4grains 300 mg 5 grains. This is made by Forrest Company and the article included their information number it is 1-866-927-3260. Its a very informative newsletter. BTW I got agin in 6 weeks for a complete blood work i usually do this every 6 months
 
Things should be rolling along with Forrest any day now -- they were retooling their packaging and promised to be up to speed this month.

My sis suffered for five years with 'borderline' levels and lots of symptoms. A lot of experts believe that the levels should be re-thought, and recommend a TSH between .03 and 3.03, or even narrower.

Hopefully this will become the norm so the millions of borderline sufferers can get some help.

Goiter can be caused by many things that cause excessive TSH --

Hyperthyroidism (Grave's Disease), Hypothyroidism, Thyroiditis, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (an autoimmune problem) etc...

Your doctor should determine WHY you have a goiter, then work to treat it.

If the treatment is thyroid medication, Armour natural thyroid will work better than the synthetic chemical drugs like Synthroid or Levothyroxin.​

I live with two hypothyroid weimaraners (other two weims are not health compromised).

I'd like to warn the poster who said she took herself off her medication and doesn't want to take a daily dose (twice a day)...
Fatty deposits will accumulate in your eye(s) and you WILL go blind- one of the many symptoms you'll suffer.

I have been very forgetful this past year, my thyroid bothered me a tiny bit (drastic symptoms) at one time in my life but the doctors here say I've got normal levels- my grandmother had hypothyroid and had some type of thryroid surgery when I was 10 years old.

As I was forgetful, I forgot to give my two weims their twice a day, daily dose- here and there...now my "Bub" has fatty deposits in his left eye and partially blind because of that. The veterinarians say there is nothing they can do for it- and I can take ownership that its my fault...Horrible and unneccessary!

I learned about my dog's thyroid condition by trial and error and then found this site: its for the animals dot com and I use HemoPet laboratory, there are over 30 symptoms...
Here are my "Bub" and "Baby" who are hypothyroid and I try very hard now to never forget their twice daily doses while sending blood samples to be tested from Alaska to California as our health is everything: Misty Mountain Slade

I set an alarm and take my thyroid in 3 daily sublingual doses. It's very much worth it to be healthy!!
