My all natural stuff doesn't work as well when the weather is warmer with tick populations so high. The liquid from the vet will kill them when they bite, they'll still crawl on your dog, but will instantly die the first bite they take which almost prevents disease from being transmitted. There's a slight chance your dog can still get a disease from them but it's a slim chance if they're protected. Most things do not repel ticks because ticks don't technically work that way like fleas or mosquitoes. They're annoying creatures! The spray we have is completely natural. Only peppermint oil and some other inactive ingredients. The chews were made by a neighbors all - natural pet company, they probably aren't that potent either. The only real tick - killing thing is the liquid we got from the vet. It has permethrin and one other thing, can't remember the brand.
