Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Ohh okay, that would be so confusing to me. Congrats on winning the bid!
I have wanted blue eggs for a while, so when I saw the auction, I jumped in. And I like that they are autosexing
The auction is easy. They post what they are auctioning, and people post what they want to bid.

Edited to correct: autosexing.

That’s how I got into looking at them. I was looking at autosexing birds. Is that why they’re expensive? Or is it a combo of their beautiful eggs as well?

Yes, my first incubator experience and learned the shipped eggs lesson the HARD way!
I had great hatch rates with my own flock's eggs years ago. So a couple of years ago I decided to get back into chickens so I bought a new incubator and decided I had enough experience to try shipped eggs. Lol, I had 1 hatch out of 12.

I was fooled!!!

I bought 6 Silver Spitzhauben eggs on eBay ONLY because they were located in Shelton Washington. I figured, screw it, I’ll just fill the incubator with some eggs that are close by of a breed I really want. BS! I just checked tracking and they left Arizona this morning!

Messaged the seller and asked why they’re leaving AZ?

Can you cancel the order? Or get a refund?

You can't even really blame it on anything but the postal service. There's no way for you to know what you'll get. Unfortunately because of where I'm located out mail goes to a sorting facility in Florida before coming back up to us in Georgia, they do not treat packages well there. I do occasionally get packages that bypass the Jacksonville facility and they always look better. :idunno
