Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

I stopped candling the duck eggs šŸ˜‚ they take too long for me. I just want them out so I can send them on their way and have my bator back.

Just wait until they start hatching! Waterfowl take an ETERNITY.

I smell another stinker in the emu incubator :sick

But it’s ok! That’s why we started with 7 eggs :) Goal was to have 2 hatch. There are 3 eggs leaning towards the pointed end and 3 that aren’t. Curious if any of the eggs leaning are the stinky one? Will have to pull out the mixing bowl and plastic wrap again...

Oh no! Not another stinker! Have you read that the tilt to the egg means they're more or less likely to be developing?

Yes. But myself and Rockports did kind of prove that wrong on the last attempt. I had obvious lean to the pointed end on the last two eggs. Got to day 50 with no wiggles. So opened them to find nothing inside. Scrambled goop. So a little hesitant to use that as a guide this time.

Or could just use it as hope!

Oh no! Are emu eggs particular prone to going rotten?
