Ugh, I had two pull another two marans from my second clutch, which is on D8. One was totally clear, the other was a blood ring, D2-3. So, once again, down to one viable BBS marans egg, and one probably-dead lav marans egg in that batch.
Of the hatch I'm just finishing up, the single BBS marans egg that developed has hatched, but has a little bit of herniation/yolk around the umbilicus, so it's just resting up. Seems more chipper by the minute tho.
The opal legbar is still struggling in its shell. Probably time to help a bit more. Assuming it gets out of the shell alive, I'll have had a 100% hatch rate on eggs that developed (14/14)!
I set 22, and 8 just never developed. One was a local egg, but the rest were shipped. Of the shipped eggs, everything except the BBS marans developed, because they were almost all infertile. All the other breeds developed and hatched.
