Where they should've been for ducks. Hopefully I don't lose all these ducks.

I'm so sorry you lost that one! Hopefully the rest of the hatch will be a good one! It is always hard to lose one.

Wishing you luck for the rest of your hatch. I had a sticky chick that was malpositioned and I tried to help it last month and there was some fluid in the egg that looked like that. My other chicks were fine though.

I woke up to 2 new babies. A Black Birchen Marans and a White Ameraucana. Lots of pips. Another wrong end pip. Progress on the wrong end one from yesterday. Things are moving along.

I have 3 ducklings with huge holes in the eggs. I can see their bills. Most are tan with black markings.

Come on wittle ducks! All this duck hatching is making me want to try Muscovy.

if I could just find some Narragansett turkey eggs and Muscovy.... in 4 days!

In the way of garlic, going to wing it and try planting the elephant garlic. Or experiment with shallots too. Not sure, but need to get some more stuff planted!

That duckling with the black bill is coming out of a mint green egg so I'm hoping it's a runner! We have wanted runners for a few years but each time we order, they have a malfunction and can't fulfill the order. Last year the duck hatch went South and they all died at the hatchery.
