Aww, they're so precious though! How big is the herniation? They can often recover from it as long as the intestines are not poking out.

The herniation itself isn't huge, no spools of intestines or anything. I'm more concerned about the blood loss.

Aww, I hope little one recovers!! Small hernias like that will sometimes heal over like a black button but are otherwise perfectly normal. Will need to keep things extra clean for it and if you have it I would dab chlorhexidine on the navel once a day to help prevent infection.

Almost looks like a slipped tendon? If it is, you have to fix it TODAY. Tendon of that leg has to be put back into place. There’s a groove it sits in. Only if the tendon is actually slipped. If you look at the good leg and the bad, is the tendon in the center in both?
