She seems to be a good mama so far, but I'm keeping a close eye on them. Still no pip on the last egg.

What breeds are you newest 20? You always have such cool breeds.

9 CCL blue eggs. seems teh Jill Reese line added a green gene which is a pain in the butt, so I am only going to hatch the blue eggs in the hopes to shove the green gene to the wayside. And another 12 of my F1 olive eggers. CCL roo over BR, LB and RIR. I'm watching this hatch closely as they grow, or as they will grow as 4 of them have head spots, 3 white and one yellow to see if the auto-sexing was passed on to the head spot chicks.

And yes that does add up to 21. One of my CCL girls laid a jumbo size blue egg, so I snuck it in since that batch was only 12 hours old.

So as I was filling another incubator with eggs (I know, I'm out of control, LOL) I heard peeping from the lockdown incubator! At least FIVE external pips already from the Silkies and day 21 is tomorrow! It's a very full incubator because I put the Sebastopol goose eggs in there too, I'm actually hoping they wait to start hatching until the chicks are done but I wanted to take them out of the turner either way...😬 We shall see what happens!

Hello all is this an internal pip this egg is very very late it is day 30. It’s moving should I make a safe hole? I really want to save it if I can none of others made it. There’s 8 that are all dead. 8 hatched. I’m for sure doing something wrong that’s 50% hatch rate ..so bad.

It's still moving after 30 days!? That's incredible!! The longest I have heard is 25 days. This is going to be one for the books if it makes it! I would definitely treat it like an assist because if it does manage to survive I'm sure it's going to be very tired.

Have you read through the assisted hatch articles?

I just realized I will be having 21 eggs in this hatch a long instead of 7 like I thought. I will have my 7 Refridgerator eggs which they seem to be doing very good and my remaining 14 call duck eggs. all have movement at this time. It is going to be a crazy time as I have never hatched out so many eggs before at one time.

I have more eggs set right now than I've ever set at any one given time too! lol! I have 4 FULL incubators! 21 in lockdown including the 4 Sebastopol geese, and 60 eggs set in other incubators with varying hatch dates in April...81 eggs total! :th

So my Chocolate Mottled hatch is done out of 7 eggs that made it to lockdown 6 hatched had to assist the last he was huge. Total eggs was 24 only 8 total developed had one quit around day 12. One somehow ended up cracked I think maybe it was too big for the turner. Was moving up until lockdown which I did day 17 since I had another batch also in the hatcher and all hatched but the cracked one which was DIS when I did the eggtopsy tonight.

Linda Martin batch of 16 eggs from an outside breeder only two out of 16 developed and the second one ended up quitting around day 14. So only one of those going into lockdown. It's still moving but I'm really hesitant to even consider it hatching.
