Still no other external pips, but it looks like I have a front row seat to baby number 2 starting its zip! Looks like it's making a lot of progress very quickly! It's only D19, so I will take these chicks out when number 2 fluffs up since nobody else has pipped yet.
Just wanted to update that 1 successfull assisted hatch, 2 DIS, and 1 growth stopped around D14 that leaves 4 on D22 with no pipes yetI assisted the hatch, it finished hatching around 9 this morning then I fell asleep, the chick is doing good. It's an Easter Egger
These hatched on day 56. I have a very short attention span, unless hyperfocusing@Rockporters They are so cute! How long does it take to hatch an emu egg?
Pavs are small. I had one hatch from Foxfire that looks similar. I also have Isbar, Marans, CCL, and Spitz from them. I have Isbar (and Barnevelder )from a different breeder as well.Pavlovskayas from Foxfire

Edited to add: Crispy McChicken is the white one and she is tiny compared to all of the pullets. Small for a Pavlovskaya? No clue.

The Spitz are freaks. The little white one is tiny! Such a pretty group of birds. The cockerels must just be on the larger side then. Are your Spitz somewhat flighty compared to others?
I think the Pav is standing next to an Icelandic, which aren’t huge either. The Pav’s eggs are pretty small. The little white one is tiny! Such a pretty group of birds. The cockerels must just be on the larger side then. Are your Spitz somewhat flighty compared to others?
