Today's temperature = # of eggs.

I'd say 167 was a good number from 30 hens!!!!

I thought the same thing, GOTTA get me some of whatever breed is in THAT flock!

I added an extra 7 on my post! I must have been exhausted! Sorry

Me

What exactly is a cold snap in Florida? I mean in degrees?

According to NOAA, 35 F Saturday night and 31 F Sunday night. For the Tampa area, I'd guess that is equivalent to -40F up here.
Otherwise, they'll be suffering with high 40s over night, high 60s and 70's during the day.

2/14 Low 27 High 34 - 10 eggs (one shell-less)
2/15 Low 29 High 38 - 6 eggs

The day after valentines day we got 16 eggs from 18 layers. We have noticed a gradual change in relationship to having more daylight hours as spring nears. Our coop temp has warmed up during the day also.

Update ended up with 6 eggs from 9 hens! Yea, yes seems like spring may be on the way! But weatherman just said we are going to have the coldest night for the winter tonight, supposed to get down to 26! Hope my new citrus trees survives this!
