Tolbunt Polish

Walt, what do you think of my Tolbunts? I truly welcome your experienced opinion. My goal is to breed the best birds I can. I want them to be Polish first, then Tolbunt. I'm not raising them for profit. I'm raising them because I've a lifelong love of poultry and now that I'm retired I can devote lots of time to breeding the best. Their leg color needs to be darker. It is light slate. I would like to increase their crest size. I would also like to remove some white from the cockerel's wings and tail. In your opinion, Walt, can I improve these areas by selective breeding my own stock? All of my birds have straight toes, and the proper tail angle. Sometimes they drop or raise their tails when the camera comes out though!

They look better than most I have seen. You can work with these.

How does the tolbunt comes from?
I have three 4 months old. Looks like boys. What color can I breed them with?
I have wc, chocolate and khaki.

Or do I need to find a tolbunt female for them

You need to find a Tolbunt female OR a Gold Laced female, Tolbunt bred with any other color(s) will not produce Tolbunt offspring.

Tolbunt X GL will create Gold Laced birds recessively carrying the genes for mottling, breed them together or back to a pure Tolbunt bird in order to produce visually mottled birds.

I no longer have a polish tolbunt rooster. I have a polish tolbunt hen what can I use to breed her to still have pure tolbunt polish chicks? Or does anyone have a rooster they don't want anymore? Thank you.

Funny, all I have is a Tolbunt roo over 2 Crele hens. I am getting that incubator itch.

This is cupid... hatched valentines day... came with my tolbunt polish eggs, no crest, orange legs l, and very fine gold and white lacing.. Any ideas what he may be?

Stoneunhinged, If you breed two Polish frizzles, do you get Polish frizzle chicks? Just wondering if the frizzle genes carry over, evry time. I am thinking of buying some from a local person. She is charging $35.oo each. Is this typical? I really want some, but that seems alot to me. But then I have notheing to compair with.
