Too long?

Hi I think my duck egg internally pipped day 24 now I’m day 26 and no external will he be ok this long?

I think it will continue to dry up, and eventually fall off too. I wouldn’t cut it. Just be sure it’s not blocking the vent, which may have been more the case with the chick In the video, but usually not an issue with a duckling. And once it’s dried out enough for some bath time, that will help too.
(YouTube can be so helpful sometimes..., but then there’s times like this!)

Lots of factors can contribute to early hatches. You could take him out real quick, and post a candling picture to be sure.

And the 3 eggs that have pipped it’s jus a tiny lump pushed up is that enough to supply air as they all nearly 24 hours now ? X

That's plenty, it starts off as a tiny hairline crack and they will eventually expand the hole over time.

From the looks of the pics, enough has been peeled away, once he’s ready to come out, i don’t see anything holding him in. As long as he isn’t stuck to the membrane, it should be fine to let him do the rest on his own.

The membrane is super soft and slippery now as it’s absorbed the coconut oil all round I think so guess he just wants to take his time

Woke up to three ducklings! The one in shell is out and all good! So excited!!!

I’d like to see its little belly. Just to make sure the yolk is fully absorbed. Be vey careful not to touch this area till we know for sure. Congrats on all the ducklings ❤
