Last year we started with two pekins and ended up with one male and one female. Then in February we lost our hen to a predator and rushed out and grabbed 5 new baby khaki campbells from our local store. Turns out we got 4 drakes and one hen. I know we have to get rid of the drakes, which stinks. They're so pretty! But I worry about that lone hen. If I decide to try and keep one khaki drake as I don't have the heart to get rid of my pekin, how many more hens would I need to add? And I can I throw some older nearly grown hens in the mix? Help!
