Toulouse Geese Thread

No idea just found it laying there dead. The other one was trying to cuddle still. Theres nothing that it could have eaten to choke on as it was on a towel and ilthe gosling wasnt near the food or water. It was eating and drinking fine yesterday so Im clueless as to what happened. Will definately try the toy and mirror as this little one is a chatty cathy!
Tsumo, a mirror is really helpful.. The gozzie will imporint on it too, so when you manage to get another, it´ll be happy to be with it. Makes things easier. It also helps the baby not to feel so alone. I Hope you get success.

We live in Wisconsin as well. I have one girl, Molly who is setting on a nest of what I suspect is part Toulouse goslings. They are expected to hatch the first weekend in May. Perhaps we can work something out?

Until then, the mirror and stuffed animal does work great. I bought a locker mirror to stick in my brooding box.

Hey, blame Da Hubby for the nickname, he chose it!
I live near the WI/IL border. Molly's usual mate is Gingi, who is an African goose but their kids have a pretty dominant Toulouse look. Now this year, we've got 11 gals and 8 boys so there is a bit of fooling around a bit and I've seen Molly mate with our Toulouse gander, Buddy. There is a chance that some of the goslings might be 100% Toulouse. She's got 13 eggs under her, and last year she hatched 6 out of 12...which was her first clutch. I'm expecting a better result this year as she's been a very conscientious brooder.

See? She's been hissing at anyone within 10' of her for 2 1/2 weeks now.

So, not knowing much about the States, do you two live fairly close to each other? And tell your hubby that your 'handle' name sounds like a russian swearing!
