Toulouse Geese Thread

I GOT MY BABIES!!!! I GOT MY BABIES!!! Lol. My 2 toulouse girls finally came about 2 weeks too late as I had to rehome my male due to his naughty not nice behavior towards the chickens (killing them). Their names are Edna and Matilda are they are the sweetest little goslings ever they love to be held and love to sit on your lap and watch TV and be pet.

You do know that pictures are an absolute requirement? How old are they? They will be just fine together with no gander to bother them and will be great old maids bringing you great pleasure. Congratulations!!!

Congrats and like jtn said no pics then we don't believe you got goslings

This is Edna. She was trying to nibble her toes.
They were in bed for the night when I woke them up to get pictures and they weren't very happy with me and we're moving around every time I set them down so I had to hold them. Will get better pictures if the rain holds out so they can play outside.

They are precious and shame on you for waking them. You will have to be extra nice to them to make up for it. They look to be about the same age as my goslings, 2-3 weeks old. Do you plan on just the two, which would be perfect so long as you don't want to breed, or are you going to try to replace your male? I you do plan on a male, try to get one really close to the same size and age.

I'm just going to keep the 2 together. Toulouse are really hard to find where I'm at. :( I ordered my girls from Metzer Farms. They get lots of loving and fun things to eat and play with. They like to visit our ducklings that just hatched. Lol. LOVE LOVE LOVE these little girls. Though I have to figure out how I'm gonna get them to not nibble on noses and lips when they get older as that could get painful. :p

Matilda and Edna are adorable. Congrats!! best way to keep them from nibbling on noses and lips is to keep them from them. They love to nibble when babies. you could get them some nice sturdy parrot toys to play with too.

Hi!! My 6 toulouse geese are going through their "6th grade akward stage" :). Is it painful for them when getting their pin feathers? It sure looks painful :(

I'm not sure if it hurts or not. I know it bleeds like crazy if they get one pulled out by one of their sibs. Post some pics of your 6th graders. lol
