We are watermelon country here and get the jumbos for 5/6
I haven't even seen any jumbos here. They are all the round seedless ones. now I could drive 50miles one way to the big farmers market in the largest city to us but thats a little crazy. Guess it's grapes or nothing.

Canada has cheaper fruit?! WHAT?! Lol

Our JUMBO watermelon were on sale for $4.99 at Costco.

Grapes are definitely more expensive here. You would pay something ridiculous like $7 for a bag of them.

I buy zucchini for them now. That is their very favourite treat, and you can get one for $2 that is the size of my forearm (including hand). My forearm is not small lol

seems that they like it just about as much as corn. The don't like peas like the ducks do.

How do you fix the zucchini for them?

I cut it in slices. They break it up further.

Don't have a picture of them enjoying it, but this shows how I cut them up. The RSL chicks claimed this piece. :)

Cute pic. thanks,
Definitely try it! If the chickens steal from the geese, they get a firm nip on the butt. That's how much they love Zucchini!

They wouldn't eat the tomatoes I took out yesterday, but they LOVED the corn on the cob :) Watch out! That makes one HUGE mess if you are holding it. I got it all in my hair, in my eyes and a kernel even got in my ear

I was so proud of my girls last night, I have had to catch her every night to put her to bed, well last night I was cleaning buckets and waterers and out of the corner of my eye I saw Missy go into the goose house and walk into her's and Sammy stall and lay down. Now I think she feels at home.

Aww! :love

My girls are the last ones in every night.

Apparently my gander is coming from Good Shepard Poultry Ranch in KS! I am going to get him in October at our Canadian National. I just hope he is really good :love I don't have many other options for the buff colouring. What we are doing is paying $50 in gas to a friend who is going up to get him for us, and then we are going to breed the three and return a gander to that friend. Our girls show a ton of potential according to the breeder of the two. He has the best Toulouse in Canada but only carries grey now.

I really want to focus on this colour. They are so rare!
