They are the watchers of the flock, I wasn't able to herd Missy in because she would freak out so bad I was afraid she'd hurt herself, so I'd wait till she walked inside the house then walk in behind her and try but she would get so upset she just wouldn't go into the stall, I have to put the 2 geese in a stall we built because they are sharing this house with 2 teenage Muscovies and a bantam hen and her 2 chicks. [My gander can be a stinker towards a mama hen protecting her chicks], So I was very relieved when she went in on her own, since the other night when I caught her she opened her wing and bent my glasses so much I had to go have them fixed back normal. I was thinking I will have to wear safety glasses from now on. But hopefully this is a start on her going in on her own each night. Sammy my gander will tolerate the chickens but mama hens that feel the need to protect their chicks he doesn't like so can't have him loose with them. I am so thankful all my flock like to go into their houses in the evenings. Anyway they a such a joy. Just didn't realize how much my gander acts like a duck instead of a goose, But i think Missy will help him turn the corner soon.Aww!![]()
My girls are the last ones in every night.
