Toulouse Geese Thread

I took Jemima's nest away & she knew she wasn't gonna get chance to keep more cos she just laid the eggs on the grass instead of hiding them in the end. I'm glad I did that cos she had me worried as i'd heard laying too many could cause her harm. You know it's a feather in your cap Miss Lydia as I've heard a goose won't lay that many unless they have a good diet, are well looked after and happy! :)
Sounds to me like we both have been doing something right then sammark

After I posted I went out and found Missy sitting on her eggs, I feel bad if I take them now, but probably end of next week they will be moving to their new house so I have a feeling that will take care of it for good.

Miss Lydia - I have just been letting her swim in the bathtub afterward. She seems quite content. I don't think she'd EVER get out of the water if I didn't drag her out for bedtime! This morning she hopped in the tub and made all kinds of racket until I turned on the water, then she stayed in there, quiet, content, and swimming itty bitty circles four about 3 hours, when I finally pulled her out. Can she just hang out in there for ever like that? I mean I know they are "water" fowl, but is there a limit? lol
She will get used to Lady if they are introduced more regular :) I wouldn't mind pet and house sitting all summer if a pool like that was involved haha I'd never be out of it. Not suprised she made a bee line 4 it, I bet u've got her spoilt, my little Seb is spoilt rotten - he was the only egg that hatched so I looked for goslings for company for him by the time I got him a gosling he wasn't interested in it more interested in screeming til I got him out he thinks he's a human he is that used to human company haha.

We are super lucky. We hit the jackpot this year in house sitting jobs. I'll have made over $1000 this summer when I'm through. I could do better, but I'm taking the last 2 weeks of july and first 2 weeks ok august off to do my own vacationing. Then I'll get back into it for the school year, but it dies down a lot until thanksgiving and winter break. Unfortunately I have school and work, otherwise I would probably never leave the pool either! I did get pretty burned yesterday... can't hardly lift my arms. Always takes the first big swim day to remind me that I'm WAY too pale to not wear gallons of sunscreen lol.
How funny!!! I will have to try to get them together more. I would like to move Lady into the house 100% this week, but we will have to see how she does with the serama cause I'm super busy this week and can't supervise them 24/7 yet. But I want to do it while she is still small.
Trina is growing SUPER fast too! It's awesome to watch! I think I might enjoy her thinking she's human hehe
