Tractor Supply Chicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got these guys today as bantams. they have slate legs. any guesses?

I think you have a white cochin bantam, and the rest are old english game bantams. The black one looks like a brown red old english game and the chipmunk ones look like black breasted red old english. There are more that the chipmunk looking ones could be of course.
Very cute lot there.

Our tractor supply seems to think yellow duck is always a pekin no matter what ....how do they explain this bad boy

I'm thinking white runner....he always stands and runs like that except when eating or drinking. And definitely different head shape compared to my other ducklings .....

First time buying from TSC. Didn't read many posts but read a little on the EEgrs. I have hatchery EEgrs, not all of them had 'puffy' cheeks'. Some have beards some don't. Actually my EEgr bantam with no beard has been my best layer this super cold subzero winter and is laying olive eggs.

I just bought six from he bantam bin. The wife says 'your not going to' so I did. I asked him to do me a favor, he said what, I says 'I only want the ones with five toes' he looked at me pretty strange Lol! He was surprised when he saw some had dinosaur feet, took him a bit but I got six silkies to add to my chicken obsession. So now I have some for black meat chicken soup and some great broodies for setting hens.

HAHAHAHAHA! Now that is funny.

Congrats on getting the chicks you wanted and on teaching someone something new.

:gig. I had the same conversation with folks a few trips ago, lol. Now, the TSC folks know me really well {and my dd works there} so they are used to chasing, scooping, and counting toes for me. But the spectators think I'm crazy until I show them. Heh. Great fun!

I work with someone that is always asking me if I have any chickens with black skin and I will always say no even if I did. She just wants to eat them. Always trying to get me to raise some for her.
Not that I am against eating chicken. We eat chicken a lot since beef is so costly. I just will not raise black skinned chickens for her. NOT gonna do it nope.

No, no ornamental or rare chicks. /img/smilies/sad.png If they did, I'd be there in a heartbeat! Still, I wonder what they include in their Bantam special. Bantam varieties of larger chickens? Old English? Wish they had more details! At the tractor supply in shawnee ok in the bantam they had polish silkie cotchin and some others I don't know what they were
