Tractor Supply Chicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to fill out that form today...due to me forgetting about it yesterday! The guy even asked me to ask the cashier for the booklet, and I forgot... >.< So we swung by today to peek at what other chicks they may have gotten in (nothing new since yesterday) and I filled it out lol.

It is definitely a great idea!

Can we see pictures?
I'm sure if you call the store and ask for a manager, they'd be able to tell you where their chicks come from.
I'll have to wait until I go home in the morning. I work night shift. As for the hatchery, I found out that it was Mt. Healthy too. I looked on their website and there is NO info on what kind they carry. I hate the layout there.

I know with our TSC, they have no idea what they're getting in until they day of. It's whatever the owner of the chain has Mt Healthy ship in...whatever they're contracted for. I know thus far with ours, it's been different types of chicks every day. We've been calling every morning, and stopping by most evenings to confirm what they have in. Most of the employees seem to be clueless...but there's one fella that will actually go read what the signs say for us. They just put up signs for however the chicks were labeled.

You would think that their website would tell what their assortment would contain. All of the other hatcheries that I look at do. I figured that if I knew the company it would be a simple process of elimination. Not so with Mt. Healthy.

Yea, that would be nice. I know I'm waiting for them to get Buff Orpingtons in.... But I'm probably going to have to have them order some. :( Haven't seen them come in up there yet.

And they will probably be straight run. The one near me says they get different "featured breeds" but they are straight run IIRC.

No doubt. I'll be asking if I can just get pullets...but hopefully out of 6, I'd be able to get at least one buff hen.
The SLWs I got yesterday (featured breed) were straight run. No idea what I got. Hopefully not 6 little Roos haha.

The reason your dad had to sign and write address etc.is because if there is a problem at the hatchery they came from like a salmonella outbreak or something like that is so they can contact you to let you know I have to do the same here in ct.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. We were just confused because no one told us you had to sign anything. It's not a big deal, I wasn't worried about giving them the info, I just wanted to know why.
Thanks, that clears it up for us. They only do this in certain states then? I would think they should do it in every state.

Anyone know what hatchery the tsc in Lexington NC uses?  I'm trying to figure out what breeds would have been in the assortment of bantams.  I bought my nephew six of them.

He has one feather-footed red chick, one feather-footed yellow chick, two greys with yellow faces and chests with feathered feet, one grey with white face and chest with feathers on its feet, and one yellow chick with clean legs.

TSC gets chicks from Mt. Healthy, Ideal, and Privett's. Call to see where your chicks came from.
