When we lived in Va, one of our neighbors got extremely offended when she saw us processing birds in our back yard one day (our back yard where you have to try REAL hard to see what's going on). She came walking up our driveway in a tizzy and started screaming that we should be ashamed of ourselves and buy our chicken at the grocery store like "decent people". I was flabbergasted! I told her if she didn't like it, she could stop looking into my yard, walk back the way she came and climb into her car and drive to the grocery store if it made her feel better about herself! She scooted up our driveway so fast I thought her thighs were gonna catch fire (and she was real disappointed when she stopped by a few weeks later asking for eggs, I told her that she'd have to get them from the grocery store, ya know, where the other "decent people" get their food).
That thread has provided me with quite a bit of entertainment for sure!

I can't believe she had the nerve to come to you like that....I live on 200 acres in the mountains and shouldn't have that problem...Most friends are asking me what I'm going to do with my chicks...I say some are gonna be pets,some are gonna be food...And if my pets are bully's, they are gonna get it too....Trying to get started on being self sufficient....

Pretty nervy of her to ask for eggs after that! Love the story. Especially about scooting up the driveway LOL
