It isn't easy to catch a fox.

For bait I used some canned dog food meat chunks and some old chicken from the bottom of our freezer. I let the fox take the bait for a few days before I set the trap. That fox stunk and more mangy than it looks in the picture.

Here’s another one. Clearly not the same fox. I’m good with fur but I can’t put it back on.

Gotta have a secure coop and run? No says I! Gotta know how to trap.

No years gone by pics or what I used to do.

Trouble is....what happens when should you catch a skunk? You won't be able to approach the trap without it spraying!

Wait until later in the afternoon and he'll be more tired. I make sure the trap is fully covered and move slowly. I attach a bunji cord to the front of the drop door and just leave it there btw with a long loose retrieval cord on the non door end. I get the bunji to where I can reach it out of sight of the skunk. Then with the tip of a finger I push back the door release gate and raise the door and secure the door with the bunji to the back of the cage. And just turn and walk away.....they usually don't bolt out since they cannot see around the cage. When they hear silence, they'll test the exit and leave.

She's 5 and smart smart smart

I now have a much larger trap. I do have better luck with snare that I make. They are interested in the trap and go for the easier snare bait. Bang. My camera alarm goes off and I finish the job.

Current update-All we got this morning is a possum...
Not upset, atleast I caught SOMETHING.

My dog patiently waiting for me to release it.
