I took my two girls 50 miles in a plastic bin with a towel over top to keep them calm (and keep any nasty stuff from coming out! I heard ducks can get car sick ) My girls did just fine! I packed in extra pine shavings to cushion them.

I have used a dog kennel, a cardboard box, and a big rubbermade tote.

My favorite was the box, I could just throw away the poopy mess when I got to my final destination.
