TREAT THEM FOR WORMS NOW -Molting - short days - few or no eggs anyway

Here's a site where you can buy just 60 ml for $15 + S&H.
............. I bought more than eight times as much for a little more than twice that cost. It should last me at least six lifetimes.

You could probably order Valbazen from your vets office and not have to pay shipping. It might be a bit higher, but not like shipping charges. I'll have to check into that. I plan on worming mine next week too. Thanks for the reminder joebryant!

You're absolutely correct. However, if you're dealing with ribbonlike tapeworms (which can be long) like I was dealing with...IMO first time worming with wazine to get rid of large roundworms is prudent whereas the size of the tapeworms could possibly bind/clog the wormload...we know what the result would be if that happened.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to do Wazine first if you want to; just wanted to make sure folks know that Valbazen doesn't work like other wormers and is safer to use without resorting to extra expense of another wormer. I've never used Wazine, personally.

You will need to go to your drugstore or pet store to buy an ORAL SYRINGE with cc/mm markings so that you can give 1/2 cc's of Valbazen per large chicken or 1/4 cc per small chickens, e.g., silkies. So a one mm oral syringe should do it.
If they're cheap enough, I'm going to buy enough to fill one each for each of my 10 bbs Orpingtons and my six silkies and eleven chicks. That way, I won't have to be filling them while I'm also catching/holding 27 frightened chickens.

I can get 100 of these for $16 + $7 shipping; that would be about 23 cents each.

But FIRST I'm going to check to see what the drugstores around here have.

My pharmacist is going to sell me 16 oral syringes for $5.
Went to the store and bought two gallons milk and a half gallon of buttermilk. I'll have two and a half gallons tomorrow at 7 P.M. Thursday I will start them on the buttermilk, canned beef cat food, and eggs to build them up.
I got five cans of Purina Friskies canned beef in gravy for forty cents per can.
I also bought a dozen extra large eggs for scrambled eggs and beef cat food together. The buttermilk will be put out separately by itself .
I will feed all that for three days, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

These worms you talk about - can you see them on their butts or in their poop? Do you ever take in a fecal sample to be tested? That's what I do with my dog before I load her up with meds. A $10 test has to be worth all this hassle, don't you think?
