Treat time accident

After dinner last night I went out to give the chickens some scrapes. Most of the chickens were in the run and coop, while a few where in the chicken pasture. I call out “Chick, chick, chick” and then they come running out of the run and coop to get some treats at full speed.

My younger white leghorn has pinnless peepers on because she was a feather picker. She comes running out of the run and heading towards me but she could not see the 2 gallon watering container in front of her because of the peepers. She plowed right into the container and knocked it over.

It knocked her down too.

I couldn’t help myself but laugh.

She is OK. Nothing was going to get in her way of getting some treats.

Lucky for her the water container was on a brick so when she hit it the container slide off and fell over. If I had that thing just laying on the ground she would bounced off it. I made sure she got some of the good stuff for her efforts.
