Phone has been ringing off the hook for birdies now that the rain slacked off. Sales are up, the rain gauge is down and the pig paddocks are slowly drying!

Oh wow. Was outside and lightning struck close by.
I was genuinely scared. I don't see many sunny days this summer. Mud, rain, lightning. Spending half my day in my barn with my tablet. The barn has never been cleaner!!!!

Here is VIP, (very important pullet) she was runted since hatch but a saved her from the bullies born with her that were much larger. She can stand and walk now. She is my buddy. She is staying in my brooder room until she recovers 100%. Until then.. She is a vip.

She enjoys my company and I enjoy hers.

Had to relocate an armadillo that was getting into my egg house...
Took him for a long ride. I don't believe in killing a creature unless it tries to kill any of my stuff. No harm done. Just holes. We can share the earth together, just not in the same zip code!

Just relocated a batch of newbies outdoors. They seem to appreciate my hard work. It is nice to be appreciated. I clean, replenish fresh water daily and keep the food coming!

They are so cute at this size. Before the grow and their attitudes change. Tweet tweet!

We are getting done with the turkeys. Can't keep doing them no more. The eat more than pigs. I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL THEM...
We plan to make space in our freezers as soon as we eat enough pork..hehe.
Turkeys were fun but the fun is over. Too much $ goes into their bellies! Now going
into our bellies.
