Tricide Neo

According to the links that @dawg53 gave you, no - you don't need to pick at the bumblefoot:
I've used Tricide Neo and it works well treating bumblefoot. It's not necessary to cut into the footpad to remove the infection using Trineo

If you would like to post some photos we will be happy to look at them and offer other suggestions.

Procaine Penicillin G is an antibiotic, but it would not dry up bumblefoot. You can use that in conjunction with "traditional" Bumblefoot "surgery".

What methods of treatment have you tried?

I soak in warm Epsom salt for 20 to 30 min. Then I have picked the black scab off, spray with Vetricyn, pack with no pain relief neosporin. And wrap. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. And I have been successful at getting the Infection out, and it started healing, but I dont guess I got it all out because her pad is swollen and hard. So I am back to, soak, pick, spray, pack, wrap. I'm hoping the Tricide Neo arrives soon. I'll try and get a pic in a few when I work on her.

As you can see, it is bad. :hit

No it doesn't look like it's healing.
When you pick of the scab are you also squeezing out the infection?

The Tricide Neo is worth a try to see if it helps. Hopefully Dawg53 will chime back in.

Oh no, I meant about 2 months ago it started healing, and then started getting bad again maybe 3 weeks ago. There has to be a huge hard kernel in there... and I squeeze and it hurts her. I dont think the hole is big enough... And I'm scared to try a scalpel bc I dont know what I am doing.

Back when it started healing before, I was able to squeeze infection out... It just doesnt want to squeeze out this time. It is like a small hard marble is inside it. And I know it hurts her badly when I pick and squeeze.

I guess I'll keep treating her like I am, and then when the Tricide neo comes in in a couple days I will stop the Epsom salt and start it. If worse comes to worse I will get a scalpel and do the best I can.

@dawg53 ... you believe her's will heal with it even as bad as it is? :fl
If you think that your hen requires an antibiotic to treat the staff infection, I recommend Penicillin G Procaine injections. Here's a link where to buy it.

Can the Pro Pen G and the Tricide Neo be used at the same time?
