Trouble hatching ducks

I did find the eggs sitting in liquid so I gave her more straw and she wove it into her nest.

Yeah, that's not good, that will kill the eggs very quickly.

Definitely can candle them. She won't reject the eggs or Ducklings if touched..

Not yet. She is being very protective of the eggs. Still sitting. This is day 37 by my count. Two of the eggs have a dark color.

Might be time to put on some gloves and have a look.

Obviously, I don’t know what I am doing. I took the eggs out of the nest and brought them inside into a dark room. I used my led flashlight to shine from the bottom of the egg. I couldn’t see anything.
I took them back to the nest. She will get off the nest but when she sees me come outside, she gets back on it.
It can’t go on too long.

Maybe you off on your days sounds like there are ducklings filling up the eggs or the eggs are full of nasty rot could you smell anything when you were holding the eggs? I’d let her go a few more days then take each egg give the sniff test and listen test before deciding to toss

Still no babies. Three eggs left. She is very protective of them. If she sees me come outside she starts chirping and goes to the nest.
