Yeah! They're pretty impressive. Most of them lay some of the biggest eggs in my flock pretty consistently. And they eat less! Friendly, hardy, decent broodies, pretty...lot of good stuff in them.

I have one that lays the prettiest blue eggs, I'm trying to create a strain like her.

Wow! That's impressive!! I need me some of them. (After we get rid of that stinking border)

Bat girl, the nicest bsl I've ever had, used to lay eggs that were 75+ grams every. Single. Egg. And she NEVER laid a double yolker the poor chicken

I had an EE last year that laid 80+ gram eggs almost daily.

I get eggs that size VERY RARELY. Most are 50ish grams...somewhere around there

Nice. Was she fat, because either batson just has a boatload of freakishly shiney feathers or she's fat XD

Maybe to get a small breed that lays big eggs you need to cross breed a Bantam to LF

She was not fat at all.

The blue egg on the right was hers.

Yeah, most of the chicken eggs are 56 grams average. My khakis are 73 average, and my saxony 82 (well ok, 81.7. Good enough )

My pekins are 75/80.
