Aww, I'm sorry! Have you candled again? They must be getting pretty far along by now...

Yeah. Today is day 9. I candled on day 7. I looked as if something was growing. I don't have a good candler, so it's hard to see... I use a phone flashlight.

Dad and Nana are leaving today to go pick him up.... He already really likes my dad so that is good. He actually prefers to call dad dad instead if uncle....

Update on the eggs so far...
2 of them got smashed And she rejected one. When I found it the first time, it was in the water and the second time it was on the other side of the coop. I gave it back just in case, but it probably won't hatch.

That stinks. . Sometimes when they reject an egg it's already bad, I don't know how they do it but they can tell if an egg is bad or not and they'll kick it out to keep it from exploding in the nest.

1 Delaware / Dorking / New Hampshire
2 Delaware / Dorking / Buff Brahma's
I love cross breeding!

Yeah. I'm gonna keep an eye on it. If I see it out from up under her again, I think I will toss it. The one good thing about the 2 smashed eggs, is that all the eggs fit up under her much better.
