Our TSC in Dallas, GA had tons of ducks and chicks the other day. My husband went there for something else and asked if I wanted to go. I said NO, under no circumstances should I enter that store for any reason!

I am currently banned from TSC ... by MY CHILDREN! I am not allowed to enter TSC (or any other place that sells chicks) unattended until Chick Days are officially over and the signs come down. The last time I went for feed, no one was free to go along. My daughter offered me the leash, with our border collie/setter mix on the other end of it. The logic was that, with Skye in the car and me busy driving, there would be no one to protect the flimsy box from the crazy bird-dog. After a weak refusal and a good chuckle, I took the dog. I know my limitations! Our TSC in Dallas, GA had tons of ducks and chicks the other day. My husband went there for something else and asked if I wanted to go. I know how you feel, I know they dont like it when you point out problems, but we're in it for the critters not the popular opinion. Dont think I'm very popular at the new petsmart for that very reason.I love how "we bird people" make choices. You rescued ducks from TSCSo far, I've resisted the urge, but mine doesn't have ducks. My TSC probably hates me, it's in town and most employees are city folk, and they never look thrilled when I point out a dead or sick chick. And they definitely don't like it when I point out pasty butt. Although I have to give one lady credit. She asked how to treat it and then did. But then again, I think she was the store manager or at least a supervisor because she mentioned putting together a training program for employees to recognize and treat it.
Guilty as charged, as well!I know how you feel, I know they dont like it when you point out problems, but we're in it for the critters not the popular opinion. Dont think I'm very popular at the new petsmart for that very reason.![]()

Yeah, I just have the 2 ducks and they have their own enclosure and very secure coop, so I'm not too concerned about vaccines. However my hubs wants to bring home some ducklings he keeps seeing behind the grocery store though. Sigh* I think chicken math is contagious.I went into TSC the other day and almost just almost had to do my family some convening. All the ducks looked in bad condition and where in poor brooder conditions so I decided it was best I got any. I also have ducks that are vaccinated and I don't won't to contaminate different duck sicknesses(this is just me being over protective....). I did find a way to get some money and I convened my family so I will most likely getting some more ducklings from Metzer Farms next month.
