TULSA area Cluckers

I'll keep one back for you.

It really is Rogers County, I've been told the city of Claremore has a hens only policy like Tulsa. It just boggled my mind that in such a rural county you can't keep poultry in your backyard!

But this gives us a lot of room- we will have Agricultural Zoning on our 9 acres, and we will be in Wagoner County which is much more livestock friendly. We will be getting some goats and some Australian Shepherds (got 1 puppy already), and several more breeds of chickens- so exciting! The neighbors all seem really nice, too, they've come over and introduced themselves one of the times we were down looking over the property.

Meet Merlin, isn't he gorgeous?!
yes, he is I love ausies i had one once and she was awesome, i got offered a a ausie/heeler mix for free so i took him but he acts like the heeler not the ausie unfortunately.

I have to get a new picture today to put up, he's grown so big and fast you will hardly recognize him! Smart as can be which is good except he gets bored being cooped up by the chickens... got a few that flew over to his side of the fence more out of play than a desire to hurt. And chewed a plug off a lamp. And and and. It will help when it's warmer and we WANT to be out working with him!

my ausie/heeler mix will stand and stare at my chickens like he would like a chicken dinner but i hope i can train him to leave them alone but i'm like i don't want to be out in the cold so hopefully when it gets warmer.
