Our turken (Bernie) is approximately 20 weeks old, but as new chicken owners, we just can't tell with this little one! We were told "she" would get tall, but "she's" almost as big as our rooster. "She" should be laying eggs soon, but we're impatient. Those tail feathers completely throw me off! I will upload more photos of they are needed.

Bernie is a boy, I'm afraid. If you look to his saddle (just before his tail), you can see pointed feathers, which is male specific. Hopefully you have the space for him; he's very handsome with his rose comb.
I had a feeling that was the case when he turned 8 weeks. Lately he has been sparring with the hens and getting chased of a bit by our older rooster. Luckily, he hasn't even begin crowing yet and old Roscoe hasn't gotten super territorial. We, luckily, have the room to separate them if we have to. He is not going anywhere is is my baby, my first hand-raised chicken. Super friendly and very beautiful.
