Turkey chest wound - what can I do?

Hopeful too!

If the pads are still stuck, you can use saline or your vetericyn and wet the pad around the skin and work it loose. It may bleed a little, but usually those pads will come loose if you get them wet.
I got all but one of them off with this method - thank you! The last one is the one that had the most blood caked on it and I’m hesitant to remove it and cause too much bleeding so soon. I’ll keep moistening it and spraying it with the Vetericyn and hopefully can get it off without too much damage within the next couple days.

I also spread a bunch of hay out in the coop and he loves it - started making those happy chirping noises once he started exploring it.

Sounds good.
I'm glad that he's making happy sounds over the hay, that right there is Hopeful!:)

He’s shivering and it’s supposed to get down to 23 tonight. What can I do to help him? Should I bring him inside? Also, should I be concerned about the swelling in his wattle?

Do you have a garage or shed that's a little warmer?

To me, the shivering is a concern.
The initial wound on his breast has healed fine right? No ooozing, odors, redness.

The wattle may be having some fluid accumulation due to the trauma, but I'd keep an eye on that.

I ended up buying plastic sheeting, stapling it to a majority of the exterior of the coop, and adding another half hay bale inside. I think it kept him warm enough and mostly eliminated the wind getting in. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on his wattle. Thank you!

Edit: forgot to add that no, I have not seen any oozing, etc on his chest wound or head wound.

Is he doing better?

Good idea blocking the wind, that helps a lot!

Well, it doesn't seem like he can be back with the other Toms. Are they all penned too or roam about?

You can try making him a temporary fenced area outside of his shelter to see if that lessens his stress.

The other toms are getting butchered on Friday. I’m keeping the two hens I still have - do you think the hens will pick on him if he is still in recovery? If not, I just have to keep him separated until Friday. He started attempting to strut today for the first time since his second injury. Didn’t quite puff up all the way, but got about halfway there.
