What a lucky tom. Tell us how he reacts when he sees her.

He was trying to mate her right away it was great. But she started to attack our hens, and I mean attack.....We put both Hercules and his woman...yet to be named....into a separate pen where they can see the chickens but not hurt them. She is starting to calm down a bit.

Update;
So now that they are not together the turkeys just pace the fence between them and chickens. Back and forth, back and forth. We thought ok now she wants to be with them and of course he wants to so lets give it a try now! Nope not a good idea. LOL She'll randomly stalks a chicken and chases them around and around. The tom just gets happy and prances around everybody, but she is just a hot mess with them. So, is this how turkey females are, is she going to calm down over time, what should I do??? They both don't seem to like being away from the chickens...idk LMBO

Yea, we're thinking that if they were poults and raised with our chickens they'd be better off, but this pair is already 1yr.old. They were raised with chickens but maybe she only likes her previous flock. We are going to try and get a hold of the seller and maybe purchase poults instead! If not then I will definitely give your idea a try or when we get the funds just have another building built on the property where they can't see the chickens.

To all that advised I want to thank you so very much. We did have a woman in our area who wanted an adult male and female pair. She sold her breeding pair and was in need, and it just so happened that she had a tom and hen poults she was willing to trade!!! Woohooo!
