THe white embyo must have been on the bottom then-- another reason I just put them in the incubator to test for fertility. Fertilized and not fertilized are white spots, the fertilized one looks like a bulls eye, with concentric white and clear rings. THe embryo is actually 24 hours old by the time it is laid. THat changes the visual identification of fertilized, or not fertilized.
Thanks! I might just have to set a few to see what happens. I don't even own an incubator anymore and haven't needed one because my silkies are broody machines. I might just have to see how one of the silkies can do with them.
