I have a question. I am wanting to get Royal Palms for my husband but I read that you can't have chicks with baby turkeys, that the chicks give the turkeys some kind of disease. Is this true? Thanks.

Never happened to me I didn't know anything about it prior to joining I have heard about it now... Poults are more prone to coccidiosis I knew so I just kept them on medicated feed.... I actually have one bantam that thinks he's a turkey cuz hatched with them... Hatching was easier with him because turkey's learn how to eat and drink from there mothers and when u hatch if no others around you have to try to teach them slightly... There not as instinctive.... Chick taught turkeys and to this day he still clucks and turkeys come over for food when he's found something....

Call your local extension office and ask if your area has black head.

HELP my black spanish hen has a large air bubble all over the top of her head, she seems fine, sounds and looks okay, what do I do, please help!!!!

Hematoma maybe from being bred or picked on? Not sure just a guess if that's the case it should absorb eventually?

Several days ago, a jake was acting funny(I couldn't get his attention), and walked a little odd once I got his attention. Several hours later, he was fine, and I chalked it up to he jarred something jumping off the roost.
He is 100% back to normal except one thing. I never noticed him tilting his head before. He now cocks it slightly to the left. It isn't constant, he will straighten it. It is just concerning. Any ideas?

Ok so all u turkey ppl this is prob an ongoing thing for you but I just heard my jakes first gobble!!!! I was standing there and it was almost like it over took him and he didn't know what happened... Lol so exciting for me who only has two

I know what you mean! They're expecting a chirp to come out and instead it's this strange noise. So funny!
