I was worried sick over her also! It was very cold and sleeting last night here. Now, here is a question, do you think she could have went with the wild turkeys and hung out with them for awhile? I did not see them yet this spring but my husband said he seen the flock yesterday. It is a big flock and I counted 25 or so last fall.
she might have got caught up in the excitement and followed them a ways and than started back home

sometimes mine will do that

My tom is a royal palm, & my hen is a blue slate. I've just purchased a royal palm hen about a month ago, but she STILL isn't laying! :(

I have 2 palm hens hatched last year. 1 has been laying for the past 2 months, along with the slate hens, but I haven't seen an egg (for sure) from the other yet.

Your slate/palms will be mottled this generation. Breed them together or back to palm to get blue & lavender palms.

Morning Chickin Pickin--- snow melted?? A rare patch in a shady location still dotting the landscpae here. Bet you have a bit more, but the hot sun will warm you up quick.

Morning! Today is much better than yesterday. Most of the snow and ice are gone a few patches here and there where the sun cant reach it. I really hope that was the last snow and no more freezing nights.

Oh I was going to ask you, I cant recall if you were one of the people last year talking about planting garlic on the 2013 turkey thread. I don't know if you recall but this past late fall I planted a ton of garlic and I have 50+ sprouts coming up, Im not sure what to do next. Also do you think the last few days of freezing temps and snow may have affected them? Again I cant recall if it was you telling me about garlic so I apologize if Im thinking incorrectly.
